Back off the Bench

Sorry about not posting for the last 10 days or so. I've been focused on my golf tournament, the 2nd annual Microsoft Golf Classic for Autism. It went yesterday at the Marshes. We raised 51 thousand dollars for local autism groups.

With any tournament, 95 per cent of the day's success is the weather and mother nature smiled on us big time yesterday. So there we were, around 10am, after a year of planning, with perfect weather and everything ready to go. That's when the word came down from an early bird golfer.

"Did you guys know the Queensway is shut down right now because of a bomb scare?"

Clunk. (sound of Steve fainting)

Geez. You think you plan for everything. Not once did we factor in that no one will be able to get to the course because a freaking bomb scare.

Anyway, it all worked out and the day was perfect. Today's a chance to exhale and vege. Back at work tomorrow.
