Finally. The top 100 movie quotes of all time are out.
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn about that list. It was compiled by some pretentious movie reviewing hack who thinks all movies made after 1980 suck. Here are five of my favourites, right off the top of my head. Note the double dose of Sean Connery, which reminds me of the rules: Don’t shay yesh er no to my list. It’s all subjective, see?
1. Jerry Maguire (1996) - Avery (Kelly Preston) - If you ever want me to be with another woman for you, I'd do it.
2. Risky Business (1983) - Miles - You wanna know something? Every now and then say, "What the f---." "What the f---" gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity. Opportunity makes your future.
3. The Rock (1995) - Mason - "Your best? Losers always whine about doing their best. Winners go home and f--- the prom queen."
4. The Untouchables (1987) - Malone - You wanna know how you do it? Here's how, they pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way, and that's how you get Capone! Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that?
5. Braveheart (1995) - William Wallace - "Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take away our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"
Now go ahead. Tell me the other top five is better than mine. Go ahead. Make my day.

The Media and Village Idiots
There has been a lot of talk the last couple of days about the Ottawa Renegades' media relations director NOT going on the road with the team. That's a mistake. Will it hurt the team's chances Friday night in Edmonton? No.
Lonie Glieberman breaking out with the comment, "a village idiot" could give out stats to the media. Also a mistake. And pretty darned obnoxious. Will it hurt the team's chances Friday night in Edmonton? No.
As a fan of this team, I need only two things from "Gliebermania: The Sequel". 1) Be competitive every week. 2) Treat the fans well.
Media relations strategies? Don't care. The President stomping on an employee's feelings in a vain attempt to be humourous? Don't care.
Just, for the love of all things holy, take care of items 1) and 2) and we'll get along fine.
