We said goodbye to AJ Jakubec this morning. TGOR has seen the last of him. AJ can be heard on our 20/20 updates, the Buzz on Junior Hockey, 67's broadcasts and this week on Moron Sports, accounting for 80 per cent of our broadcast day. But he will be deeply missed. At least until Wednesday when he returns to TGOR. I’ll be heading down to Barbados for 4 days. That means Buzz and AJ will be gloriously reunited after all these, uh...days.
On this special morning, as we said goodbye to AJ, it was great seeing/meeting the many characters who lurk out there in TGOR Nation. Marko with a K, Sleepy, Big Rick, Bill, Luc, Kim, 545 Mike and many many others. In fact, I shouldn’t have compiled a list here because I’ve probably forgotten someone. If I have, I want you to know I’ll still sleep okay tonight.
AJ, great job. It was magic. Sorry your farewell cake was ruined by this guy when we smushed it into his face after the show. Ah, hazing. It never gets old.
