The Warne List - Hot Sportscasters

With the calendar year rapidly drawing to a close, it’s time to get started on all the “best of 2006” stuff. But because I’m constantly on the cutting edge, putting myself out there, I refuse to go with the standard highlights. No. I’m a rebel. A maverick.

Today I present to you the first of many subjects to make the Warne List. It’s sort of like Forbes Magazine’s lists only it’s all Canadian and far more prestigious and incredible.

Appropriately, the first group to make the Warne List is a group that has never been profiled before. By anyone. Except the researchers at the Warne List. This news will cause ripples across Canada. There will be celebration. There will be tears. There will be anger. Hell hath no fury, you know.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the 10 Canadian women who made the 2006 Warne List of hot female sportscasters.

Jillian Barberie - Fox Sports
Patricia Boal - The Score
Caroline Frolic - The Score
Jennifer Hedger - TSN
Holly Horton - TSN
Kathryn Humphries - City TV
Lianne Laing - A Channel Ottawa
Hazel Mae - NESN
Christie Chorley - A Channel Edmonton
Sara Orlesky – The Score

The list will not be altered but, since the thousands of employees here at the Warne List believe deeply in the democratic process, you will be allowed to choose your queen of Canadian sportscasting by clicking on the comments link below.

*Update* Due to an overwhelming number of emails, the Warne List has been expanded to include honourable mentions. We congratulate the following and wish them better luck next year, getting on to the main list.

Martine Gaillard - Sportsnet
Jody Vance - Leafs TV
Carolyn Waldo - CJOH Ottawa
Deb Matejicka - The Score

By the way, one of these days the Warne List will tackle the hottest female sportscaster in the world. Or not. It's a list of one. She usually does the morning show from France network LCI but this picture qualifies her. The honour goes to Melissa Theuriau. Here's some video of her work.
