The Senators will unveil their new third jersey next month. There are many rumoured designs out there. Of the many that have been sent my way, this is the one I'm betting they'll go with.I have no confirmation on this. I'm not basing this on any inside information. I may be way off base. We'll have to wait and see. My critique? Not bad. I wish "Sens" was descending instead of ascending. Looks a little awkward.
There are others out there too. This one had a petition going around for a while after a local artist received good reaction. It's a beautiful jersey. What I don't like is the O. Looks like a zero. Zero works if you're a goalie. Zero for a team logo isn't good.
Either way, black is back again. The Sens have every right to wear black. It's our city's main sports colour (or shade before you arty types track me down). I wish everyone else in the league would tone it down a bit. Half of the NHL now uses black in at least one of their three jerseys.
