Well, I’ve had it. The Grinch is a freaking criminal and I won’t be a part of glorifying his behaviour any longer.
On Christmas eve, this thug breaks into every home in Whoville and steals all their stuff. Sure, he eventually realizes what he’s done is wrong but the damage has been done. How much of that stuff did he break when he stuffs it up the chimney. How much is ruined when he bench presses the sleigh full of gifts then rides it up and down the side of a steep, rocky mountain?
Then instead of carefully handing the gifts and food to their rightful owners, he rolls in and starts shoveling it randomly onto the ground. Broken toys, lint covered turkey, paying no attention to who gets what.
Instead of his immediate arrest, he’s turned into a hero for all this. He gets to sit at the head table, ready to eat all that disgusting, lint covered food. Then they even let him carve the soiled roast beast. You know who’d be a better choice for that honour? Everyone!
Hey, little Jackie Who, did you commit a crime this year? No? Okay you’re carving. Cindy Lou? Did you abuse and whip the crap out of your pet dog this year? No? Okay, you’re next in line.
The Grinch isn't a lovable, flawed Christmas character like George Bailey or Charlie Brown. He's a criminal. I want to see this criminal behind bars where he belongs. Then perhaps some medical attention. I think he had a heart attack or something near the end.
