Jungle's Confused Debating Skills

I must admit, I got caught up in Jungle's vortex of confusion this morning. A simple trivia question in the dirty dozen, which was fairly straight forward, resulted in a heated debate that made everyone's head hurt.

Let's put it to rest here and now (and, for the love of god, never speak of it again). The question was: The original six NHL teams are also the six teams with the most Cups. True or False? The answer is false. Jungle misguidedly insisted it's absolutely a true statement.

Okay. Let's break it down. Here are the original six totals. Montreal 24, Toronto 13, Detroit 11, Boston 5, NY Rangers 4 and Chicago 3. A grand total of 60.

Let's see... Can I come up with a list of six teams that has more than 60 Cups? Why, yes I can. My list is:

Montreal 24, Toronto 13, Detroit 11, Boston 5, Edmonton 5, NY Islanders 4 A grand total of 62. So the original six NHL teams are NOT the six teams with the most Cups. Thus, the answer is false.

Thank you and good night.
